Date Limitation

General description #

The date limitation module in Qbil-Trade allows you to set the closing dates for invoicing and orders. This helps you in ensuring that no more logistic or invoicing processes are carried out or at least a warning is shown on creating orders or invoices during that period.

Date Limitation screen

The various options available in the Date limitations Screen and their working is as follows:

  • Sales invoice date: On setting a limitation date in the sales invoice date field you will be thrown a warning “The date of this data is in a closed period. save?” on creating a sales invoice on or before the set date.
  • Production date: The date limitation for production orders allows you to set a date/period after which you cannot make changes to the production orders created before that date.
  • Unloading date/Loading date: By setting the date limit for loading and unloading dates, you can restrict making orders with loading and unloading dates before the set dates. You won’t be able to make orders with loading and unloading dates before the dates set in the date limitation. On the order screen, you’ll be prompted that the loading/unloading date can’t be less than or equal to the restricted dates.
  • Purchase invoice date: You cannot create a purchase booking invoice with the invoice date equal to or less than the date limitation set.

  • Unable to find invoice for export in current month

Invoices are displayed on the export screen in a particular month. The month of the invoice is taken from the invoice date and not from another date, such as the due date.

The invoice date is therefore leading in terms of month for export periods. For example: Invoice date 22-05-2022 and due date 15-06-2022. This invoice will appear in the export under the month May.
